Digital vs Analog

Why do we not care about changing the lengths of the transistors in Digital circuit design ??

Even I had this question in mind and this is what I think abt it..

In digital circuit design we do not change the length of the transistor because in digital circuits we are highly concerned with the speed and performance and increasing the length will reduce the current and hence increase the charging time for the load. As current "I" is inversely proportional to the length of the transistor.

While in Analog design increasing the length of the Transistor will help us give good current matching between the transistors esp in Current mirroring. As channel-length-modulation effect is inversely proportional to the Length.

I'll appreciate if I can have more information on this.
